Overview

Expressive Cognition (“we,” “our,” or “the Service”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Data We Collect

When you use Expressive Cognition, the following data is processed:

  • Audio recordings of your spoken responses to assessment prompts.
  • Transcripts generated from your audio by a third-party speech-to-text service (OpenAI Whisper).
  • Analysis results generated from your transcripts by a third-party language model (OpenAI GPT-4o).

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to:

  • Transcribe your audio recordings.
  • Generate your verbal reasoning profile.
  • Display your results to you within the application.

Data Storage & Retention

We do not store your audio recordings, transcripts, or analysis results on our servers after your session ends. Audio is sent directly to third-party APIs for processing and is not persisted by us.

Third-party providers (OpenAI) may temporarily process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review OpenAI’s Privacy Policy for details on their data handling practices.

  • We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third party for marketing purposes.
